The 23-year-old was previously on the radar of Arsenal, with reports as recently as March linking the Gunners with a return for the Frenchman in the summer transfer window. According to a report from LEquipe, corroborated by respected journalists Nabil Djellit and Ekrem Konur, Leicester want Aouar as a replacement for Tielemans, whose departure seems as inevitable as ever.

Aouar has played played 214 games for Lyon since his breakthrough in 2016-17, scoring 39 goals from midfield. His composure and technique on the ball have made him stand out as one of the best central midfield prospects of his generation.
